Vale to those who trod the road before me.

imageYesterday I stumbled across a place that touched my heart in Central London.

This alotment of land was once used to bury the bodies of my sisters and brothers.

Left to rot in sin, for they where classified unworthy of a proper burial.

And now what stands in its place is a gate filled with remembrance of the those who where not honoured as humans and cast side, until recently.

I was honoured to be able to spend a moment reading a few white ribbons and notes,  a small reminder of our history and how far when have come.

Though I am aware that there is so much more to be done to ensure that people like me and my companions are treated equality in our current society.

May they rest in peace.
